Experienced Rider Courses 2013

The ERC is intended for those who have motorcycle riding experience of at least one year or 1,000 miles. This course is primarily designed to increase your present skill level and develop a greater awareness of perceptual skills. Specially trained instructors will lead you through 8 hours of discussion and on-cycle instruction.

The physical and psychological aspects of rider conditioning are considered, as well as special concerns such as emergencies, adverse conditions, and accident avoidance. Examples of specific course content include: higher speed steering, cornering, counterweighting, traction awareness, and braking. Other course time is devoted to motorcycle dynamics, wind effects, wobble, tire characteristics, and load distribution.

New for 2013: ERC students will be able to bring a passenger to participate in the on-cycle instruction. Passengers are not required to pre-register, but must meet the BRC eligibility and clothing requirements.
